1. Migma Attended 2018 TRB as Exhibitor The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 97th Annual Meeting was held January 7-11, 2018, at Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, DC. There were over 13,000 attendees at this meeting. Migma participated in this event as an exhibitor, displaying its commercial products related to pedestrian and cyclist detection and counting. Migmas pedestrian and cyclist counting products, both portable and permanent, attracted many attendees as it is the only product which can count and separate both pedestrians and cyclists at the same shared paths. In addition, Migma personnel also presented the latest development work of FTA SBIR Phase II project at Transit Surveys Subcommittee.

3. Migma Submitted FRA SBIR Phase II Proposal In Phase I, Migma developed a practical sensor platform suitable for mounting on the back of train. A large amount of IR images associated with rail tracks were collected on an MBTA train. Algorithms were developed to identify both right and left tracks from a moving train. To help detect track cracks, Migma developed new algorithms for IR image enhancement and track crack identification. Algorithms were also developed to detect the rail cracks in real time. In Phase II, Migma will further develop new software algorithms solving some issues observed in Phase I. A smaller sensor platform will be developed for data collection on MBTA train, which incorporates a higher resolution IR camera and smaller gyro stabilizer. Using this new sensor platform, Migma will collect more data of both regular rail tracks and track cracks. Migma will then develop software algorithms for image quality improvement under various operating conditions, thermal signature variations, and discrimination between true track cracks and background clutters. In Phase II, Migma will work with engineers in both Vehicle Department and Track Department of MBTA. To support Migmas Phase II effort, MBTA has provided an endorsement letter.
4. Introducing Migma MTDisplayTM
MigmaAdTM is a complete system, including sensor, HDTV and tripod. To target the market where customers often have TV and mounting equipment, Migma has introduced a new product, MTDisplayTM, i.e., motion triggered display. It is small in size and can be easily mounted to any displays such as computer monitor and TV. End users can choose to design and maintain the advertising materials. By adding videos and GIF files to an USB disk, MTDisplayTM will play the advertising content automatically. Users can also let Migma design and maintain all advertising materials. Migma designers can remotely update any advertising content based on customers needs.
