4. EquipTutamen Targeted for HVAC Health Monitoring
In May
2007, Migma attended the Navy Opportunity Forum hosted by Dawnbreaker (http://www.dawnbreaker.com)
and sponsored by Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program
Office. Migma's booth was well attended and its technologies for
submarine detection and tracking have attracted some defense companies.
Initial feedback from potential customers was positive and promising. As
a result, Migma has obtained valuable contracts and formed strategic
alliances with some major defense contractors. Site visits have been
planed.
In May 2007, Migma conducted a field trial with NYSEARCH (http://www.nysearch.org) to test Migma's remote natural gas leak detection product, GasTutamenTM (http://www.migmasys.com/GasTutamen). Based on the outcome of this field trial, through NYSEARCH, two major gas utility companies have agreed to provide funding for Migma to further improve and add features into the existing product. With the financial support from NYSEARCH and its member companies, Migma will be able to improve the system detection sensitivity by incorporating new hardware and software. NYSEARCH is headquartered in New York City and is administered by the Northeast Gas Association with headquarters in Needham, Mass. Northeast Gas Association was established on January 1, 2003. Its predecessor organizations were The New England Gas Association (founded in 1926) and The New York Gas Group (founded in 1973).
MDA TechUpdate newsletter, a publication of MDA Technology Applications program, has published an article about Migma in its Spring 2007 issue. Both Migma's EquipTutamenTM and GasTutamanTM products have been described in detail. The development of EquipTutamenTM was funded initially through MDA SBIR/STTR program. The goal of the project was to develop an advanced data driven diagnosis/prognosis system for ABL (Airborne Laser) system health monitoring. This article can be downloaded here.

EquipTutamen Targeted for HVAC Health Monitoring
After extensive tests,
Migma has started the marketing and sales effort for EquipTutamenTM.
The initial targeted market is expensive HVAC systems used in hospitals,
hotels and office buildings.
By monitoring
the operation conditions of HVAC systems 24/7, the indoor air quality
can be effectively maintained and related maintenance cost can be
dramatically reduced. In the current product offering, sensors are
installed at
compressors, pumps and fans. HVAC systems in different
locations within the building can be networked through wireless
communication. Alerts can be sent via emails and text messages.
